About
Yakov Alexandrov is an award-winning film and game composer currently based in Tbilisi, Georgia. He writes in various popular genres, providing them with a classic, memorable, and soul-stirring touch.

Yakov has contributed music for the TiMi Studios / Tencent MOBA game Honor Of Kings, as well as the eponymous Chinese TV animation series Honor of Kings: Chapter of Glory.

In addition to TV and games, he has written for concerts, films, commercials, and light shows (at locations such as the world-famous St. Basil's Cathedral and nearby historic Manège). He is a winner of international film music and academic music competitions
Yakov trained in classical composition at Moscow Ippolitov-Ivanov Musical Institute.

Yakov attended a film-scoring summer program at the Film Scoring Academy of Europe, where he studied with Hollywood film veterans such as Conrad Pope and Andy Hill, and received individual mentoring from Norman Ludwin, Michael Giacchino's orchestrator.

In addition, he had the opportunity to study with Harry Gregson Williams at the NGC Lab, for which he received a grant.
Education
Yakov's composition style is diverse , with a strong orchestral background.

His music and arrangements have been performed and recorded by large ensembles in Sofia (Bulgaria), Budapest (Hungary), Moscow, Saint-Petersburg, Yaroslavl, Kazan, and Tolyatti (Russia).
